Vegas Re-Cap from my office
Well, we missed out on the Las Vegas festivities this year. Quite upset, but we had to keep it moving from the homeland. I’d say the best highlights were Michael from ACL’s photos of random guys, Supernatural’s freestyle and finding out that sweat bands, bucket hats, and batting gloves are still cool in hip hop.

Take a gander at this photo. It’s insane. Crazy photo, even crazier gap.

Mash x Cinelli
Mike Martin just posted up some shots of a possible Mash x Cinelli Team frame collaboration. One of the shots has Garrett Chow’s name along with the Mash logo on a spicy Vigorelli colorway. I don’t know exactly what the end product will be here, but no doubt something interesting. Mike always executes his work in the highest fashion so if there is a collaboration in the works between the track bike heavy weights it will be something special.
Anti-terrorism
As the Beijing Games draw closer, the tension is never far from our evening news; in China and around the world. Demonstration haven’t gone unseen, but with images like these of the fighting forces within their country, I think all the athletes can drink their protein shakes in safety knowing that they are protected by a group of highly convicted people.
Reel Style: Hypebeast TV
This is dope, I like the style they shot the video, and it’s funny to hear people’s thoughts on their own style. Convertibles n’ shit.
Arkitip Magazine No. 0046
I received my Arkitip in the mail the other day. Issue No. 0046 have 3 different covers from Kevin Lyons, Michael Lyon, and Ben Dury. I went with the Kevin Lyons. It came with a Beams x Arkitip T shirt as well which definitely was a nice selling feature for me. It comes as a heat transfer that I have to press on myself, only problem is an iron is apparently not hot enough. I’m not sure if I can do this myself as I’m not an experianced T shirt printer. Anybody got some suggestions or do I need to take it somewhere? The magazine has some great work as usual, with some nice clean layouts, and great photography. Definitely worth the purchase. Thanks for making dope stuff Arkitip.
More Photos: Shawnigan & Nighttime
Well the collective blog is turning into my photo blog for now I guess, so here are a couple more shots from the past week.
Vic Photos: Bike
Heres a couple more flics I took yesterday on a bike ride. I haven’t actually put up any shots of my semi new frame yet, so here it is. Although it is still just a road frame, it looks pretty fresh for an oldie. Click the Pic for full affect.
More Photography: The Manipulator (Jill Greenberg)
The chances are you’ve seen some of her work, covers of TIME, Culture + Travel, Los Angeles, and the list goes on. Jill (The Manipulator) has shot celebs galore; Larry David, Chris Brown, Steven Colbert to name a few of my favorites. Her really amazing work however is the shots of the monkeys and dogs. She manages to personify the expressions on the animals faces and with her incredible amount of detail and photoshop skills, the images are unreal. It’s definitely worth going through her portfolio a couple times. Read more
Kalle Gustafsson
I don’t think I could write anything to descibe how amazing Kalle Gustafsson ’s work is. If this guy isn’t working for Urban Outfitters, he should be.
