G-Dep - Stay Up

G-Dep is straight crack. I love Child of the Ghetto and now I love this new joint. I have actually listened to it about 30 times in the last day. I just really like it. Check it out on Nahright.

Step Your Fade Game Up

Mike over at Hecklewood came across this blasted out joints while calling out Sufu with these old 66LVCs. There are something serious. I think they are more like art than something I’d want to wear. Put them up in a custom wood frame by Matt Jensen and we’re talking.

De La Soul

I just sat at my computer and worked on school and the new issue for the last 7 hours. I pretty much forgot to eat dinner, haven’t excersized in days, and really wished I could get a tan from my computer monitor. For some reason I put on De La Soul, starting with Bitties in the BK lounge. For some reason I love that track, and I just kept listening. I went through about 6 hours of De la tonight. It was awesome. I don’t even know why they are good, they aren’t very good rappers and they have a weird sense of humor. The classic ‘back pack’ raps and appearances by Q Tip, Black Sheep, and Jungle Brothers keep things particularly interesting as the easy listening reaches it’s peak. De La is one of those rap groups that it can actually be hard to tell what decade their music is from. What I can tell though is it’s just good for some reason.

Flight Club Drawings

Flight Club recently tweaked the welcome page on their website. Instead of just the old boring FC logo, there’s now a collection of amazing illustrations each time the page loads. It’s a series of animal adaptations of famous basketball players. Shown is Kobe in Viper form. Hit the link for LeBron the Lion, Barkley the Rhino, MJ the Panther, Rodman the Hyena and the ironic KG Timberwolf. Big ups to whoever drew them, but where’s the Manute Bol praying mantis? or the Dan Majerle pony? Read more

America Votes 2008

The Republican convention is going on right now and the Democrats wrapped theirs up last week. November’s election is sure to be a doozler just like this poster.  Typeface the 20’s and 30’s was amazing was it not? The “Tag-team Shaved Head Match” looks like a beauty. Thank you to whoever made this.

p.s. Sure he’s a better candidate than Geriatric Johnny but can we please get a moratorium on Barack Obama t-shirts.
