Nomad Stuff
Nomad is one of my favorite shops, probably in the world. Not just because I got a fresh box from them since they are blowing out the last of their summer stock, which includes some great items. But the aesthetic of the shop, the lines, the service, and their quick shipping. It’s hellish dealing with a lot of online retailers, let alone boutiques who haven’t realized the Internet isn’t going away. Nomad doesn’t actually have an online store but you can stay up to date with their blog and ordering from the shop is easier than, pretty much anywhere. Quick response, quick shipping, great products. I’ve definitely bought too many things online and could put a couple people on blast for their service, but I’d rather just help point you in the right direction. Nomad has some good stuff still on 70% off right now, but more importantly they have received a lot of fall stock from Rag and Bone, Nom De Guerre, A.P.C., and Wings+Horns to name a few. Shop there.
Sale: The Glade
The Glade is the online outlet for Firmament, one of the dopest boutiques on planet earth. They not only have an incredibly beautiful space, but they carry some of the most exclusive lines from around the world, including Japan. That means Head Porter, Head Porter Plus, Visvim, and Neighborhood. They also carry Acronym, P.A.M., Levis Fenom, and several more great lines. Because of their clout and situation in Europe, they are able to pull from the Japan lines as well as the North American lines to get an overall great buy. I haven’t seen them put on an extensive sale of goods before so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they had some great pieces from Visvim, Head Porter Plus, and Original Fake on 30-50% right now. Surprisingly they even have some good sizes left. There are some fresh Visvim Duck Boots, and some great Head Porter bags and sweaters marked down 50%. Definitely worth checking out for some good deals on more than good products.
Weekend Recommendation: Buy Something On Sale
That’s right. Everything is on sale everywhere. So go find that item you have been eyeing up for months, and pay 2/3 of the price. Almost all of the good online stores have sales, all of the bricks and mortar stores have sales, you should be able to find something you like in your size somewhere. I’m still holding off to try to get in on some sales in New York in a week and a half, but I say don’t wait to you. These deadly Opening Ceremony Desert boots are on sale at Tres Bien for $230. Only problem is my size is gone. There are a couple left however, so don’t wait it out. Just do it, you’ll be glad you did. There’s always more money out there, right?
