Flannels I Like
Fall means flannel, you need a couple in your closet for those cool days to rock with a beanie or toque. It’s been a minute since I did a “____ I Like” post but I’m back with some good flannels. To kick it off, probably my favorite is the Original Fake flannel. They did a good job bringing in two extra pockets and making it look good. Combine that with a nice pattern and good colors and you have yourself a good flannel. Visvim also put out a great series of Folk flannels, superior materials and comfort leave you looking and feeling great. One more Japanese line made it into the mentionables, Deluxe. I also had to go with one of Supreme’s new flannels as they consistently put out great pieces for good prices. They are well made and fit quite well. To round it up I went with a slightly lighter piece, Our Legacy’s 1940’s button down. It has a button down collar which I like, a nice pattern, and it’s by Our Legacy, what more do you want? Deluxe Fall
Japanese line, Deluxe has dropped a grip of their fall offerings now. With a line packed with American-work wear basics, they continue to do a great job. With a lack of cardigans I’ve seen this season, Deluxe hold it down with some nice colors and a very basic cut. I do like the plaid patterns they’ve chosen for their flannels this season as well. The most interesting piece is probably the bomber style jacket with a slight shawl collar. I like the pockets, colors, and collar detail. Definitely a good line to throw on in the bad weather with a pair of Redwings. More images after the link.
Fall Stussy @ Haven
While people seem to be previewing Stussy’s fall T-shirts, Haven has already received their first fall shipment of Stussy. They have a couple T’s, three new flannels, and some toques. The flannels are all good patterns with a nice use of color. For the price, I find Stussy to be the best bet on flannels. They do seem to have varying fits throughout the slightly different models, so I recommend trying them on. For $80 bucks you definitely get a really good quality shirt that looks good. Stussy have been making flannels for a couple decades so they have a good idea what they are doing. Haven will also be receiving the fall Deluxe line which has some even better pieces to look forward to. It should be shipping in early September so it should be in shops in a month from now.
Deluxe F/W
Japanese line, Deluxe has started to drop a few of their fall/winter items and they are looking good. Continuing with their very American workwear look; they have a great line up of coats, button downs, jeans, chinos, and leather goods. I really like these jackets they have for the fall along with the button downs. I wasn’t personally too excited from the past season from Deluxe but fall is much more suitable for their look, so I’m pleased to see them coming through with some good pieces. I also like the quote used on their leather card holders, “Might as well have the best.” Why not right? If you’re going to spend money, there is no need to settle.
