Boiled Wool Vests

Sometimes it just takes seeing somebody else wearing an item to really set it off for you. I honestly never really thought about being that interested in a vest like this. I’ve seen them styled beautifully by Engineered Garments and Band of Outsiders, but never really even took much notice to the specific vests. Since I saw somebody rocking the grey wool EG version, I’ve been slowing growing my desire to own one. I remembered I thought I saw a nice vest, although not grey for some reason, on Blackbird’s blog. I went back in the archives to find a pretty much perfect boiled wool vest by Opening Ceremony. Grey would be the ideal hue for my vest, but I would definitely be happy with this black piece, and what’s also nice is that the price isn’t insane. Retailing for $156, you could have a great fall layering or focus piece with a little bit of money to still have something underneath. Right now I’d see it’s creeping to the top of my ‘I Want that’ list.
