Visvim Down Jacket

Although Visvim has been most praised for their footwear, they have developed a pretty amazing array of technical outerwear over the past several years. Nakamura was actually the person who founded the Burton Idiom line nearly a decade ago I believe, so he obviously has a great knowledge of the outer wear technology and creating something that looks dope. Visvim has taking some of that inspiration and incorporated the rare, high quality cottons, and materials of their cut n sew line and combined them with a lot of GORE-Tex and more technical ways of production. The result is a great aesthetic and a high level of functionality. This down jacket with a fur collar is an example of that. Although in the fashion sense, it’s not particularly interesting in it’s design. It’s proper fit, great proportions and balance, and high quality make it stand out. Visvim has done a great job of sticking to their game plan, which essentially is making something good.
