North Face Purple Label
Jackets have become my new obsession, or at least the most common of the wants I have lately. Duckie Brown peacoat, Unis toggle, Ransom trench, and now North Face Purple Label. I don’t know what model it is, but I’m loving the slant zips and big 2 front pockets. The button up zipper flap is a nice touch too. Why is North Face in Japan so rad? Available in beige and black.

North Face is just an uban hipster label these days - the quality is terrible. Arcteryx is several times better.
Ya but it’s several times more expensive. There are definitely better technical labels and brands, but it’s interesting North Face has taken this long to finally dedicate a line specifically to the aesthetic side of things.
aesthetics without quality constuction are just junk. Example - Comme des Garcons is way out there often in design, esp the women’s line but the fabrics and construction are top notch.
I bought a pair of North Face trail shoes that lasted less than 2 months just walking in nyc. that is not a bargain.
