Gap Oxford - I had to do it
Well the hunt for the oxford hasn’t been going that well. I tried to find out if there was any Brooks Brothers outlets in Vancouver today unsuccessfully, I tried on a bunch of Band of Outsiders pieces at Jonathan + Olivia yesterday, only to find a mediocore fit (for me) for a premium price, and I can’t seem to be able to deal with the Polo horsemen on the chest. Where does that leave me? I needed a couple oxfords bad. I lost one recently, and my only other white one as a size too big. I was fiending, so back to the Gap I go. Believe it or not, the fitted oxford by the Gap fits me better than almost anything else I’ve tried on. It’s not perfect, and the quality isn’t where I’d like it to be. But for the price of $36.99, it will do until a better solution can be found. My issues are with the design of the collar, the buttons, and the poor stitching down the front around the buttons. That being said, it is cheap, it feels pretty good, and I’ll have no problem putting some hard wear into it.

indeed..
i went to Superstore of all places and bought 2 oxfords from them which I’m very pleased with.
Who would’ve thought $20 would make me so joyous
hey..i noticed on sf you mentioned that you bought one…i was hoping you could give a break down of the quality and construction…specifically fit…size down? thanks
Hey,
I’m 6 feet tall, fairly slim. I got a size small in the ‘fitted’ oxford. The fit is okay, I’m considering having them taken in a bit more though. Arms and length are pretty much perfect. My problem with the quality is down the front of the shirt where the buttons are. The stitching seems cheap, also the buttons aren’t the best. for the price its good though. And the 3 colors they have are great, white, blue, and the soft red is a perfect shade.
Hope that helps
you should try thom brown’s black fleece collection for brooks brothers, the fits of the oxfords are reallllly nice
