Marc Jacobs Advertising

Marc is killing the game. There has never been any question whether his clothes are good. He’s obviously a smart business man, or has smart business people around. He’s divided his lines beautifully and hit almost every market. High end, mid-luxury, and bracelet, flip-flop zoo store, which apparently does more business per square foot than any shop in Soho. So wouldn’t it make sense to have a great ad campaign? Marc has put out a series of great print ads now. Putting his clothes on random people in the street, kids, bums, and taking nice photos. Then enlisting MIA? Putting her in clothes with only one color per item is a feat in itself. Victoria Bechkam in a giant shopping bag. Now taking it to the next level. Marc has put some nice dresses onto a young man. Damn I want that clutch now. You got me Marc. I really like the style he’s used throughout the campaign with Juergen Teller behind the lens. It’s this kind of execution throughout the brand that creates the feeling and value.
