Gray on Gray
A lot of people have a lot of different theories on color combinations and the traditional No-No’s. I’ve heard not to wear blue with black or brown with black, different shades of blues or reds at the same time, or patterns with patterns. Everyday these ‘rules’ are broken. Some people can just make it work, and with the right eye can pretty much pull off anything. I don’t know if other people have a hard time wearing a lot of the same color, but I don’t, and one of my favorite shade on shade colors to play with is gray. There are a lot of options with the heather grays, charcoals, flat tones, light grays. The color also works in almost any material so it’s available to a lot of options. I have always loved grays and now more than ever I’m liking the gray on gray look. These shots are from Margaret Howell’s fall line which is full of modern basics. I’d personally slim down the fits a little, but I really like the way the grays work together. If you want to see more, look for me this fall.
